Macedonian Stock Exchange has marked the 20th anniversary of its creation. From the first day of trading up until today, this stock exchange has had a turnover of 3,3 billion Euros and 468 258 transactions have been conducted in it.

The highest turnover was in 2007 with 680 million Euros. Political developments do affect the Macedonian Stock Exchange, but so far, the effects have been limited.

The head of this Stock Exchange, Ivan Steriev, declared that in the recent years, there has been a drop, while the sharpest fall has been registered in the past two years due to the political crisis in the country.

“I hope that better days will come for our stock exchange and that more companies will be interested to enter our market. This stock exchange is also the right destination for foreign investments”, Steriev declared. /ibna/
