Coordinator of the Vote Counting Center and Results (VCCR), Burim Ahmetaj, said today that the recounting of votes for 439 polling centers will end today (25.05) before midnight.
In this context, he said that 380 ballot boxes have been counted until Tuesday evening. On Thursday, the final result will be sent to the Central Election Commission (CEC).
“380 ballot boxes have been recounted until Tuesday evening, which means that the other part will be completed today (Wednesday). Therefore, the entire process of the vote recounting will end before midnight and on Thursday, we will send the result to the Central Election Commission. On Thursday, CEC will have a report with all the results concerning the June 8 early elections”, said Ahmetaj.
He said that the entire process of counting and recounting has moved forward according to the plans and it has been done in a transparent way.
He also said that there have been no chances for fraud at VCCR.
“In general, the counting process has gone well. The recounting process is also going well. What’s important is that all irregularities have been corrected during the counting process. This is why there have been no chances for abuses. Every activity and process has been monitored by domestic and international observers, thus there has been no chance for someone to manipulate”, declared Ahmetaj, adding that the strict monitoring made by VCCR has not allowed any irregularities or mistakes.
Several days ago, chairwoman of CEC, Valdete Daka said that the final results of the June 8 elections will be published on Thursday.
According to her, CEC and VCCR are doing a professional, efficient and transparent work. /ibna/
