The EU Enlargement Commissioner, Stefan Fule has not commented the annulment of the Ohrid Summit for the South Eastern Europe Cooperation Process.
“I don’t want to comment as to whether the annulment of this summit was a good thing or a bad thing. Given the information that relate to the countries that were prepared to participate, there were no other options. What was important to me was the holding of the meeting between ministers and the organizers of this meeting were successful”, said Fule today in Ohrid during the meeting of SEECP foreign ministers.
Fule considered the discussions of this meeting as very transparent and open. “What’s important to me is the inclusiveness of this meeting and the fact that we have also included Kosovo as a special guest”, said Fule.
Fule is expected to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers in Ohrid during the day, whereas in the evening, he’s expected to fly to Brussels. The summit of presidents and heads of governments of the SEECP member countries was annulled by the FYR Macedonian President, George Ivanov, as a result of the absence of Kosovo, which led to the boycott of the meeting by Albania, Croatia and other countries. /ibna/
