Only websites to be entered in the register of online media will have the right to get state advertising and advertising by banks.
The prediction that is promoted by the government was presented by State Minister, Nikos Pappas, together with the government spokesperson, Olga Gerovasili.
Registration for online media will be optional, but only those who enter will be eligible to receive ads from the state or from banks.
Blogs and personal websites are ecluded
The companies that join the register will need to have VAT, to indicate the exact number of employees, shareholders, the editor-in-chief and the company’s directors.
The government will not define where the money will be channeled to, there won’t be any criteria such as visitation, but companies that are not registered will be excluded from the state advertising pie, Mr Pappas noted.
