Skopje, November 22, 2013
Swedish Foreign Minister, Karl Bild says that Greece doesn’t appear as if it’s going to make concessions on the issue of the name dispute.
“Greece doesn’t appear as if it’s planning to make forward steps in regards to the name dispute with FYR Macedonia during its presidency of the European Union in the first half of next year”, declared Bild, when he was asked about the Greek presidency and the approach expected from it toward Skopje.
Bild is in Washington where he’s participating in the discussions relating to the summit of eastern partnership which will be held in Vilnius, where USA and EU will coordinate their activities in order to offer European perspectives to the former Soviet republics.
“We will also discuss about the fact that the Balkan is moving forward. Almost all countries of the region are in the process of negotiations, except for Bosnia. FYROM too, but for ulterior reasons. I’m not pessimistic as far as Balkan is concerned, because the process is moving forward, albeit slowly”, declared Bild. /ibna/
