President of the United States, Barack Obama, has proposed to the US Senate to nominate Gregory T. Delawie as US ambassador to Kosovo, the White House has confirmed.
Delawie’s name has reached the senate along with a number of other proposals.
In case his candidacy is approved, Delawie will replace ambassador Tracey Ann Jacobson who arrived to Kosovo in 2012.
Currently, Mr. Delawie is Deputy Assistant Secretary for European Security, Technology and Implementation, a post which he has held since 2012.
Previously, Delawie has worked as vice ambassador in the US embassy in Berlin from 2009 until 2012, vice assistant secretary in the Bureau for Political and Military Issues from 2008 until 2009, head of the office for bilateral trade in the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs from 2007 until 2008. From 2004 until 2007, he was vice ambassador of the USA in Zagreb. Delawie was graduated in economics from Harvard University. /ibna/
