Kosovo held a day of mourning as homage to the three young people from Kosovo, Armela Segashi, Dijamant Zabergja and Sabina Sulaj, who were killed during the armed assault on a mall in Munich.

During Sunday evening, many people in Pristina have lit candles to honor the victims in the central square of the capital, Zahir Pajaziti.

Flags have been lowered at half mast in all institutions in Kosovo. State leaders have expressed their indignation for this crime which claimed the lives of 9 innocent people in Munich, among which there were also three Albanians from Kosovo.

Prime Minister Mustafa has sent a telegram to express his condolences to the government of Germany and the families of the victims.

“Citizens of Kosovo are very touched by this barbarian act which left many innocent people killed”.

Kosovo’s Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences to the families of the young people who remained killed, by saying that “it is beside them in these difficult moments for them and the entire Albanian community everywhere in the world”.

Nine people remained killed and 16 others remained injured in a mall in Munich, when an armed person opened fire and then killed himself near the mall.

The perpetrator of the attack was David Ali Sonboly, an 18 year old who had dual citizenship, Iranian and German. /balkaneu.com/
