President of FYROM, George Ivanov must mandate on Monday the party that won the 11 December elections for the creation of the government. VMRO-DPMNE is the party that won most seats, 51, while SDSM in opposition won 49 seats. President Ivanov’s cabinet declared that all constitutional deadlines will be respected in mandating the party that has won the elections.
According to the Constitution, 10 days after the constitution of the new parliament, Ivanov mandates the party or the parties that have won 61 seats in parliament to form the new government. The 10 MPs of the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI) are decisive for the creation of the new government. A new government may be created if VMRO-DPMNE enters a coalition with BDI. /balkaneu.com/
