The removal of Aleksandar Jablanovic from the post of the minister for Communities and Returns has led to the “List Serb” to temporarily abandon the work in the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

Representatives of the List said after the meeting with the Serb PM, Aleksandar Vucic, that the issue of the removal of Jablanovic will be part of the talks in Brussels which will be held on February 9 between the PMs of both countries.

The head of the office for Kosovo at the Serb government, Marko Djuric, said that the participation of Serb representatives in the institutions of Kosovo will be decided in the meeting between PM Mustafa and his Serb counterpart, Aleksandar Vucic.

“The steps that we will take will be in the best interest of the Serb community in Kosovo and the entire Serbia”, declared he.

Djuric added that after the meeting in Brussels, the Serb PM will invite all Serb representatives in Kosovo for a meeting in Belgrade, including ministers, MPs and mayors. Considering the decision of PM Isa Mustafa to remove Jablanovic as unilateral, he said that the Serb minister is innocent.

“We don’t think Aleksandar Jablanovic is guilty of anything. We don’t think the Serb List is responsible for mounting political tension in Kosovo and Metohia”, said Djuric.

Meanwhile, deputy PM of Kosovo, Branimir Stojanovic said in the days to come, Serbs will not participate in the proceedings of the institutions of Kosovo.

According to him, the meeting in Brussels will decide about further steps that will be taken by the Serb List.

Djuric believes that Jablanovic’s removal shows the lack of stability in Kosovo, which has started immediately after the elections.

Meanwhile, experts of political issues in the country say that the removal of the Serb minister has increased tension for the talks between Kosovo and Serbia.

Political analyst, Artan Muhaxheri says that Serbia must by all means try and introduce Jablanovic’s removal as part of discussions.

“The removal of the Serb minister will increase tensions in the talks between Serbia and Kosovo in Brussels, because we know that the Serb list is directly dictated by Belgrade”, says Muhaxheri.

But, according to him, the international community will not allow for this issue to become a main issue in the Brussels’ talks.

“The European Community will put pressure to Belgrade not to turn the Serb List into a factor of instability for the government of Kosovo”, says he. /ibna/
