President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga has been received by the EU head of diplomacy, Federica Mogherina to discuss the developments in Kosovo and the efforts of the Republic of Kosovo to deepen the political and economic reforms.

Jhjaga has thanked Mogherini for her support and for the support of the European Union for the strengthening of Kosovo’s European perspective in signing the Stabilization and Association Agreement, which has now entered in force.

In this meeting, president Jajhjaga stressed the need to strengthen Kosovo’s European perspective.

“Jahjaga stressed that the Republic of Kosovo remains committed in continuing the process of talks with Serbia for the normalization of relations between the two countries as the only way to achieve sustainable peace in the region and to speed up the European and Atlantic integration process for both countries”, the press statement says.

President Jahjaga stressed the need that this processed brokered by the European Union and supported by the USA has to focus on the implementation of the agreements reached in Brussels, by conditioning the progress in the implementation of the agreements reached in the framework of the dialogue with the progress in the EU integration path./ibna/
