President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga received today the world known judo fighter, Majlinda Kelmendi, to whom she awarded the Presidential Medal of Merits for her achievements in judo.

President Jahjaga congratulated Majlinda Kelmendi on her achievements in the international arena, by saying that she represents the pride of the country and that she’s an example of inspiration for future generations. President Jahjaga said that with the accession of Kosovo in the International Olympic Committee, now, the youth of Kosovo can represent their country in the international arena.

President Jahjaga said that the institutions of the country will continue to support sportsmen, who with their talent, represent Kosovo in the world.

Majlinda Kelmendi thanked president Jahjaga for her constant support and for the support given by the institutions of the country. /ibna/
