“Speak” movement published today anti-corruption statistics from police, prosecution and courts of the country for the period January-March 2015.

In a press conference delivered today, this movement says that for the first quarter of 2015, 2286 cases of corruption have been filed.

Out of them, during this period, police have handled 140 cases, 7 for receiving bribes, 20 for offering bribes and 113 cases for abuse with office. Out of these cases, police of Kosovo have arrested 22 people.

Meanwhile, prosecution has handled 1375 cases, 38 of them for receiving bribes, 29 for offering bribes and 1038 cases for abuse with office. Out of them, 79 cases have been solved.

During this period, the courts have handled 771 cases, out of which 86 cases for receiving bribes, 44 cases for offering bribes and 641 cases of abusing with office.

Meanwhile, according to this movement, information from the Office of the National Coordinator for the Fight Against Economic Crime indicate that for the first quarter of 2015, the value of frozen assets amounts to 265.470 Euros.  The office has also seized 15 properties, 7 cars, land and 84 other assets.

“Speak” movement says that institutions of Kosovo have identified a large number of corruption cases, but very few of them have been solved. /ibna/
