Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa has received today the head of the World Bank office in Kosovo, Marco Mantovanelli and discussed with him joint projects concerning sustainable economic growth and the opening of new jobs.
Prime Minister Mustafa talked about the government’s priorities, stressing projects in energy, in agriculture, the expansion of water irrigation system, training and employment of young people, energy efficiency and reforms which are being taken in strengthening the private sector.
On his part, the World Bank official praised the achievements of Kosovo in these domains.
He also spoke of the work that is being done in preparing the World Bank strategy for the allocation of the funds for Kosovo in the coming period, mentioning the possibility that the World Bank may support energy projects, projects for sustainable economic growth, for the creation of jobs for young people and women, projects in agriculture, infrastructure, IT and other domains.
Mantovanelli said that the strategy of the World Bank will be compatible with the National Strategy for Development and the program of Kosovo’s government.
At the end, both interlocutors concluded that thanks to the reforms and commitment shown so far, Kosovo has achieved a solid economic growth and has managed to address some of the challenges emerged until now. /balkaneu.com/
