Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj is in New York as part of a state delegation led by PM Isa Mustafa.
Mr. Hoxhaj’s meetings have focused on the issue of the recognition of independence, the establishment of diplomatic relations and with those countries which have recognized the country, the strengthening of bilateral relations.
On the first day of the UN General Assembly, Hoxhaj has met with the foreign ministers of Brunei, Pehin Lim, that of Madagascar, Beatrice Attalah, the Prime Minister of Samoas, Tuilaepa Malie Legaoi and that of Yemen, Abdul Malik Al-Mekhalafi, whom he briefed on the developments in Kosovo.
“The General Assembly proceedings are a great opportunity for a small country like Kosovo to expand the number of recognitions even more and strengthen bilateral relations with the countries that already recognize it. On the first day I have had many meetings and I am optimistic for good and positive news in the future”, Hoxhaj said. /balkaneu.com/
