Greek foreign minister Nikos Kotzias is in Istanbul today where in the afternoon he will meet with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, in a “lightning” visit, following the contacts of the Greek FM in Germany.

In the meeting, which is expected to be held in a very friendly atmosphere, the Greek FM will brief his Turkish counterpart on the talks he held in Berlin and the proposals of the Greek government for the refugee crisis and the creation of hot spots.

The two ministers are also expected to discuss the details of Alexis Tsipras’ visit to Izmir and the G2G between Greece and Turkey, which according to information of the Independent Balkan News Agency, is expected to take place in the March.

Finally, there will be a detailed reference to the Cyprus problem and the latest developments on the issue after Davos.
