Albania has been presented in with dignity in the 15th edition of the Architecture Biennale in Venice.
“I have left you the mountain” is the title of Albania’s booth in the biennale, prepared by curators Simon Battisti, Leah Whitman-Salkin and Abake.
What’s interesting in this work is the combination of sounds, art and politics, unfolding a great and sensible topic such as emigration.
The Albanian booth called “I have left you the mountain” sees architecture become speech and song.
Lyrics accompanied with music and interpreted by rare singers known by UNESCO as bearers of “a non material cultural heritage”.
According to the critics of the event, this is a Biennale that is convincing and deserves to be commented.
The Albanian PM, Edi Rama considers this presentation as a brilliant idea. “The Albanian booth in the Venice Architecture Biennale is becoming famous and everyone is saying good things about Albania”, the Prime Minister says. /balkaneu.com/
