The head of PDSH (Democratic Party of Albanians), Menduh Thaci has resigned last night from the post of the leader of this party. Thaci has announced his resignation through his Facebook profile.

“I just handed my irrevocable resignation from the post of the Democratic Party of Albanians. This party will be chaired by the Leading Board until the extraordinary congress. Meanwhile, I shall remain a member of PDSH”, Thaci wrote on his Facebook profile.

But many members of the leading board and the Assembly have said that they will not accept his resignation.

Thaci was elected as head of PDSH in 2008, replacing the founder of this party, Arber Xhaferi. From this period, Thaci has lost the elections in 2008, 2011, 2014 and the 2016 elections. With the last defeat in the elections and with only two seats won in parliament, Thaci handed in his resignation. /balkaneu.com/
