The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, on Tuesday evening expressed the hope that through the dialogue that begins Wednesday, in Mont Pelerin, at a technocratic level, there will be those kind of proposals which will allow us to overcome with one of the most important problems we face.
In his remarks to reporters, on the sidelines of the In Business awards ceremony, the President when asked if he is optimistic about the talks that begin tomorrow said that “it is not an issue of optimism, it is an issue of determination. From then onward it will depend on the political will of Turkey.
I hope that through the dialogue which begins there will be those kind of proposals that will allow us to overcome one of the most important problems we face.”
Asked if our side is well prepared with regard to the dialogue, the President said “totally prepared and totally coordinated with the Greek Government with which we have daily contact, as well as with many others.”/IBNA
