Minister for Dialogue in the government of Kosovo, Edita Tahiri, declared today that progress has been made in the process for the introduction and consolidation of state institutions in the north of Kosovo.
“As a result of the Brussels’ agreements, government of Kosovo will introduce a single judicial system in the north of the country as this system has been absent for many years.
Also, around 23 ministries and central agencies which operate locally, will start to be functional and civil registry offices will resume work in order to equip citizens with ID’s”, Tahiri said.
Minister Tahiri says that these processes are consolidating and strengthening state sovereignty in this part of the country, which was challenged by Serb parallel structures after the war.
Tahiri also spoke of the integration of people from the dismantlement of the so called “Serb Civil Protection”.
“The integration of these people in Kosovo’s system by signing work contracts with institutions of Kosovo is an important development in the framework of the objectives of the Serb government for the consolidation of sovereignty and normalization of situation in the northern part of the country and the integration of the Serbs of this part in the public and social life”, Tahiri said. /balkaneu.com/
