The law on the Albanian language seems to be a pending issue in the talks between the Social Democratic Union Party and Albanian party BDI before receiving the mandate for the creation of the government.

The sides are yet to agree on this important issue, while they have agreed on other issues such as special prosecution, EU accession and NATO.

SDSM has drafted a document which transforms the system of two official languages into a law. Discussions are taking place based on this document, which according to the social democrats, fully complies with the Albanian platform.

On the other hand, Macedonian parties must draft their joint platform in response to the platform of the Albanian parties, the Macedonian Socialist Party led by Ljubisha Ivanovski-Xingo declared.

This party which raced in the elections as an ally of VMRO-DPMNE doesn’t specify the conditions, but says that the platform will include those issues that relate to the rights of the Macedonian people. /balkaneu.com/
