Pristina, May 31, 2013

Due to the lack of quorum, after many hours of debate, parliament in Kosovo could not manage to vote the resolution for the Presevo Valley and the constitutional changes proposed by Prime Minister Hashim Thaci.

Due to the absence of half of the MPs in parliament, the plenary session was declared closed without voting these proposals.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci had proposed to lawmakers to vote several constitutional amendments in order to guarantee protection of the Albanians in the Valley of Presevo and in the other republics of former Yugoslavia where Albanians live.

Present in today’s plenary session were also representatives of the communes of Presevo, Bujanovc and Medvegje. /ibna/
