Skopje, May 4, 2013, by Naser Pajaziti-Price of power supply in FYRO Macedonia is expected to fall during the summer.

This has been confirmed by the state corporation for the production of power supply ELEM, which underlines that the reduction in the price of energy will take place as a result of a maximum production of power supply in the thermo and hydro plants of the country. The import of energy is also very small in comparison to 2011.

Data show that during the month of March alone, hydro power plants have produced 208.7 giga watt hours, as opposed to 55 giga watt hours in the same period last year. Due to the positive hydro situation, ELEM has turned off a part of the thermo plants, while a part of them has worked on low capacity.

Starting from next year, even renewable energy sources will see a growth. A gigantic wind park for the production of power will be built from Bogdanc to Gjevgjeli. This park will be second in terms of size in the Balkan. The entire production of energy from this part, will be used for the needs of the country. /ibna/
