A protest was held today in Pristina against the creation of the Special Tribunal in Kosovo.

Associations of war veterans called on the institutions of Kosovo not to create this tribunal.

This protest was also supported by several opposition political parties such as INCENTIVE and AAK, which have participated in the protest.

The representative of the association of veterans, Xhavit Jashari said that this protest is being held against a tribunal that wants to tarnish the war of Kosovo Liberation Army.

“Freedom is won with blood, with the blood of those members of KLA who gave their life for this country”, Jashari said.

Meanwhile, the head of KLA organization, Smajl Elezaj, said that they were forced to come out on the square due to the injustices that have been made against those who led the war.

“Today, we’re obliged to come out and protest. 16 years after freedom, they want to imprison KLA fighters. Civilized world has forgotten who invaded this country and who the victim was. We have not forgotten the fact that genocide was carried out against the Albanian people”, he said.

Veteran organizations said that they will continue with protests and that they would raise their voice for justice. /ibna/
