The sale of new cars in FYROM has seen a decrease due to the constant import of old cars from EU member countries.

Association of the importers of new cars has said that their business is falling and that there is no perspective.

“Customers ask for cars which are 9 years old or less and these cars cost around six thousand euros”, declared Saso Matevski, head of the sales office at “Auto-importer”.

According to figures provided by importing companies, in 2008, the number of new cars that were sold was 18 thousand, while this number now has dropped by four times. Importers do not provide official figures as to the number of the sale of new cars. /balkaneu.com/
