The fourth conference of ambassadors organized by the Kosovo’s Foreign Ministry has held the second day of proceedings with discussions on the security of Kosovo and relations with the NATO. Panelists said that security in the region and the world also has an impact in the security of Kosovo.
Deputy Prime Minister, Hajredin Kuci, said that global security has a direct impact on the security of Kosovo.
According to him, Kosovo’s accession in the NATO will have an impact on Kosovo’s security and the global one. Kuci said that the developments in the region and the Middle East also have an impact on Kosovo.
Meanwhile, minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania, Ditmir Bushati said that in the world that we live in, everything is connected. According to him, the recognition of the independence of Kosovo by Serbia is important for the stability and the European integration of the two countries.
The US ambassador to Kosovo, Greg Delawie talked about NATO’s role, namely KFOR’s role in Kosovo and the security that this organization is offering.
Delawie has also praised NATO’s letter to Kosovo for the intensification of cooperation. According to him, Kosovo is going through a transition period. He also said that he’s happy with the continuation of KFOR’s mission in offering security.
Meanwhile, according to Kosovo’s Interior Minister, Skender Hyseni, Kosovo’s integration in security, Euro Atlantic is of a special importance because in the age of the internet, exchange of information is crucial in fighting negative phenomena. /balkaneu.com/
