Serb football player, Demir Avdic from Novi Pazar, is the first player from Serbia who plays in the Kosovo Super League. His arrival in the “Trepca 89” football club has been considered as the most interesting transfer in Kosovo.
“Since Kosovo proclaimed its independence, I am the first Serb to arrive here. People in Serbia are not very happy with this, but my friends have wished me luck and they are happy for my movement”, Avdic said.
He pledges that he will use his talent to help the new team to participate in European competitions.
“Trepca89 has a good team. The Albanian players are very good players and I’m happy that I belong to this team. We have a very good coach and the club is aiming to participate in European competitions. In this aspect, I am ready to offer my best”, he says.
The Serb player says that his hero is the Albanian player of the national Swiss team, Xherdan Shaqiri, while he dreams of the day that he will play for Kosovo’s national team. /balkaneu.com/
