Podgorice, 30 March 2013

Head of the State Audit in Montenegro, Miroslav Ivanisevic, announced his resignation a day after media carried a video in which he appeared involved in a sexual affair.

Miroslav Ivanisevic appeared in the video dressing up after performing a sexual intercourse with an unidentified woman in his office. Vulgar language is heard during the performance.

“I inform the public that I have presented my irrevocable resignation after determining that media and public attention attracted by my conduct makes me unfit for this public office,” Ivanisevic said in his statement.

Ivanisevic was finance minister from 1998-2005 and Deputy PM from 2004-2006. An Italian court of Bari had accused Ivanisevic of being involved in cigarette smuggling. The charges were dropped in 2010. /ibna/
