In Albania, the General Prosecution Office is investigating six MPs and 3 mayors for different alleged criminal offenses.
They are being investigated by the prosecution as part of the Decriminalization law.
According to the prosecution, the list includes the following MPs: Armando Prenga, Artan Gaci, Mhill Fufi, Aqif Rakipi, Omer Mamo and Gledion Rehovica.
Part of the list are also three mayors: Eduard Kapri, mayor of Pogradec, Adriatik Zotkaj, mayor of Polican and Termet Peci, mayor of Tepelena. Most of the names belong to the left wing.
The prosecution has sent these names to the Central Election Commission, which will be informed about the arguments of the prosecution before taking a decision.
Some of the mentioned people have denied having problems with the law. However, sources from the prosecution told IBNA that their files also contain serious criminal offenses, without issuing any other details. /balkaneu.com/
