The construction of the border crossing point of Merdar between Kosovo and Serbia will start on Thursday as part of the six permanent border crossing points which will be built in the framework of the Integrated Border Management (IBM) between Kosovo and Serbia.

Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri declared that this process marks the contribution of all sides for the facilitation of free movement of people and goods, the growth of quality and safety of border control and it helps in delivering the criteria for the liberalization of visas for Kosovo.

These permanent border crossing points will be funded by the European Commission through the Instrument of Pre Accession with 21 million euros. /balkaneu.com/
