Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and British Prime Minister Theresa May had a telephone discussion concerning Greece’s position in terms of the current developments on the Cyprus issue, in view of the multilateral conference to take place in Geneva, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s press office.

The Greek Prime Minister requested Ms May’s support for a just and viable solution to the Cyprus problem, based on UN resolutions and the European acquis.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will have separate meetings with leaders of Greek political parties, except Golden Dawn, on Monday 9 January, to inform them of developments on the Cyprus problem, in view of the upcoming conference on Cyprus to be held at the UN offices in Geneva January 12./ΙΒΝΑ
